Stopped while visiting to get some post cards and ended up getting a short history lesson, wish I remember the name of the gentleman there but either way, it was awesome!

Wow! Talk about a hidden gem! Who knew one small building could hold such a wealth of knowledge. The staff was great and eager to share information for their beloved town. Not only did I learn all about Cresco's unique shops, dining opportunities, and tourist attractions, I also learned about some of the famous people from Cresco. First, there's Norman Borlaug, the man responsible for saving millions of people and recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize, Presidential Medal of Freedom & Congressional Gold Medal and Ellen Church, credited with being the World's First Stewardess. Last, but not least, the Iowa Wrestling Hall of Fame, where native born Iowan's are recognized for their contribution to amateur wrestling, also, calls the Cresco Chamber of Commerce home! Definitely worth the stop! Will be visiting again!
