The very best this town has to offer. Most likely because it is the only place (for miles) owned and operated by an actual professional trained chef. All soups, desserts, salad dressings - even the aioli ("mayo") - are completely made from scratch. Salads are fresh greens - no iceberg lettuce. No canned fruit used in desserts. No french fries. No hamburger buns. Sandwiches are served on ciabatta or croissants. Everything is fresh and delicious! There are wraps, pastas, flatbread pizzas, deep dish quiche, and salads like you've never tasted. The creme brulee is the real deal and the croissant bread pudding has gotten national raves. They have a full service espresso bar. Again, only the highest quality products are used. I know personally Chef Kat does not skimp on quality. She travels over 250 miles to purchase the fine cheeses served on their European Cheese Plate and their coffee roaster is an award winning direct trade supplier. Although popular with locals, it's travelers who appreciate The Wild Whisk the most. They've been around, sampled fare all from all around the country, and they know how good we've got it!

I stopped in this weekend with my husband, mother-in-law and two noisy kids. Not only did we thoroughly enjoy our food (scones, cookies, a wonderful pizza, coffee, chai latte), the atmosphere was wonderful. The friendly staff was incredibly helpful in keeping our two young girls happy. I would highly recommend The Wild Whisk to anyone!!

I visited the Whisk for the first tme, and WOW. We had the spinach artichoke pizza, turkey on ciabatta, and risotto to go, plus dessert of bread pudding and pumpkin bread. I will go backwards here. The pumpkin bread was good, but mot as good as what my mom makes. I don't like bread pudding, but this was good. The risotto blew my mind. I can't even tell you the flavors I tasted, but they were so perfectly combined, I didn't want to stop! Since it was meant for someone at home, I had to, though! The ciabatta bread was phenomenal. Perfectly crispy and soft, buttery without too much, just fabulous. The turkey was fresh and flavorful! Then we get to the pizza. You know how in the movie Ratatouille, Remy can hear and see flavors? Remember the scene where he eats the charred cheese with the strawberry. I had that moment when I took my first bite of this pizza, and relived it through every single bite. I really don't know how else to describe it. They may have ruined spinach artichoke anything for me anywhere else ever again! In addition to fantastic food, the service was great. Our glasses were always full, and everyone had a smile on their faces! I met the owners and chef, who are funny, sweet, and talented. I will absolutely be making the drive back down to the Whisk soon!
