I've been bringing my dogs here for nine years. I've always tipped her 25%. But never again. Today I arrived ten minutes early for an appointment. My dog, who is very friendly and outgoing, jumped out of the van, saw her store, and tried to run back to the van. Very out of character for him. This gave me pause because she's been expressing an open dislike of this particular dog since I adopted him three years ago. I came in and Trudi barked at me that she wasn't ready for me yet and to get out of her store and wait in front. So I did. After five minutes, I had to go pick up my kids. I poked my head in to explain the situation and ask if she could put my dog into a kennel until she was ready for him. She had put on headphones. I loudly called her name several times but she either didn't hear me or ignored me. I stood in the window and waved my hands trying to get her attention. She either didn't see me or she ignored me. I then looked my head back in the door and called her name even more loudly. She began singing along with her headphones, again either not hearing me or ignoring me. At this point I was quite late. I had no choice but to leave and go get my kids. I rushed to get them, and was eight minutes late for pickup, which is unheard of for me. I quickly rushed right back to her store, and hurried inside with my dog and my three kids. When we came in the store, she was taking on the phone. She didn't acknowledge me or even look at me until she finished the phone call a full five minutes later. Then I immediately apologized and explained I had to pick up my kids. Without any apology or manners she just said, "You're 20 minutes late. I won't groom your dog." I was absolutely floored by this. I corrected her and reminded her that I was ten minutes early for an appointment and tried to discuss it with her while she put on headphones and sang over me. I've always known Trudi's people skills were lacking. I ignored this because I thought she was at least good with dogs. But my dog's fear of her store combined with this inexcusable lack of basic human decency is the end of this relationship.
