ZERO STARS Where to Begin... I called to make a claim for a simple microwave that wont turn on. there are no techs in the area where I live, so they told me to call a local small appliance repair and have them come out and to not tell them I have a home warranty with anyone. I called 8 companies including 3 they told me to call. 2 of them refused to work with someone that is being billed by Home Warranty. the other one is too far from me. So I was just told by Don and Mike at Home Warranty there isn't anything they can do. I've now spent 3 hours over the last 2 days on the phone and they still wont make it right with me. they require a tech out, but no one will come out to look at it. This is the worst company I have ever worked with. I would never recommend this company ever. BUYER BEWARE. Also when I called them out on the sketchy business practices they said it wasn't lying, and that's the only way to get those companies to come out!

Gary Pond Appliance can not say enough good things about home warranty of the Midwest. It is the only home warranty company work with. They have a reasonable deductible that owners pay. They are easy to contact regarding repairs and also pay in a timely manner. Would highly recommend them.

Terrible company. They will find any way to get out of paying for a claim. I have an older house (built in 1933) and the drainage pipe in my basement cracked and began leaking. After filing a claim and having a technician come out the company refused to pay for the repairs because the "pipe was underground". Meanwhile, the pipe in question, which is fully exposed in my house, is leaking all over my basement floor. I guess they're pretty good about making excuses and finding little loopholes in the contract though. Apparently the 1" of dirt that the pipe is partially resting in is "too much digging".

Unreliable at best. Just happy we didn't have to pay for it and that it was included in the home closing. Rude and unprofessional customer service.
