        After years, my wife talked me into coming back. We have upgraded from a 1 star to a 4.5 star! We brought all 3 kids and my step dad for my birthday dinner. Everything was amazing, special requests were provided with catering. Kudos to the team for a spectacular evening and a wonderful meal! I am happy to update and change this review!! Disappointed as my wife told me stories of going to Angelo's with her parents and grandparents all the time as a kid. When we heard it was reopening she was stoked beyond belief! We tried to eat there several times but they were always busy, which we took as a good sign... Maybe it was all of the people who were excited that Angelo's was back open. She decided to wait to make this her 1st meal coming home from the hospital delivering our son. However, if you tell them you are a vegetarian and order cheese manicotti to go over the phone, check it before you eat it, or better yet, before you take it home to go. Amazingly, my wife's grandparents lived next door to the original owners, parents of the current owner. She never had to tell them "no meat" growing up when she ate there, 3-4x's per month with her family, none of them did. Maybe they paid attention to the order. Also, if you get it full of sausage expect an argument from the "owner", a lady, who claims that this has been their recipe for "50 years" and has a bad attitude about fixing the order with no meat.... She literally inferred it was my fault for not ordering it without meat. I was pretty sure not ordering the sausage manicotti, ordering cheese manicotti, and telling them we were vegetarian covered that. The menu does not state that it comes with meat sauce either. Vegetarian options: They can fulfill most special requests, they took care of all of ours.

      Jeff,Sorry this response is well overdue. II am Angelos daughter and not sure which past neighbors of ours were your wife's family. Our standard sauce is a meat sauce even on the cheese manicotti Unless MARINARA sauce is specified which has no meat. If my parents or our workers at that time were familiar with the family's specific requests for no meat then most likely that was an isolated incident and was not a common request back 20-30 years ago. I am guessing since we were newly opened the order taker was not versed on the vegetarian aspect hence the issue. With the passing of 10 years since we closed vegetarians have grown in numbers and we are now more sensitive to this issue. Not to mention your incident drew some attention to the importance of the vegetarian request for our current employees (learning curve we had just re opened)Sorry for your bad experience and hope that you will be back. We value our customers and especially hate to think we dissappointed your wife on such a special day.
