Dr. Smith listened to all my concerns and I had no issues during the pregnancy, made me believe my birth plan was all worked out. Day of csection he refused skin to skin, told me this was a csection and we didn't have time for all that. Baby and I had no complications so that was not the issue he was just in a hurry. I did not get to see my baby for the first two hours after birth. She was given a bottle during that time as well. At my one week checkup after birth I was swollen from waist to feet, blood pressure was high it was so painful to move or walk. He barely looked over me told me I was fine and sent me home. So I went to see my primary and she was concerned so sent me back to him as I was still under his care. He acted mad that I sought out another opinion and was just rude and hateful at this point going forward. I ended up back in the hospital for a magnesium drip where he lied to me several times and was just short and rude which escalated when I pointed out the lies. After this incident he canceled my 6 week followup and refused to see me again. He is very unprofessional and will make it seem like everything you want for your birth is a okay up till the moment and then play it by if he has time for you. I do not recommend him at all. My birth and aftercare was highly traumatic and those little moments with my newborn were stolen from me.

Appointments were short & rushed , any concerns I had were brushed off with little response. He Mentioned a c-section when I was 32 weeks due to me being “short & having small hips” when in fact my hips are huge & I’m 5’4. Pregnancy did end in c-section due to “failure to progress in dilation” which I felt The c-section was pushed from the moment I arrived at labor & delivery , for money reasons. His midwife did most of the appointments then he came in for maybe 2 minutes. He also got me Mixed up with other patients multiple times calling me by a different name when he clearly had my chart in his hand & personal info was discussed about me at the front desk so loud that others in the waiting room could hear & I found that very unprofessional & embarrassing. The whole experience was a disaster for me , if I could go back I would’ve trusted my gut and switched providers after the first few appointments

I tried to call his office many times. NEVER answer !

As soon as we walked in, the office reeked of cigarettes, the front office staff was rude and not friendly in the least. Waited 2 hours to go back for an ultrasound to learn this office only has 1 probe there. Disappointing first experience.
