I called here to find out the prices of candles. She said she didn’t speak English and so I tried to ask in my broken Spanish and she hung up on me. It would be nice if they could speak English in an American store.

Don't bother. Tried once on a Sunday during their posted business hours, and it was closed. Tried again today, on a weekday, during posted business hours. Called first to make sure they were open. The person answering hung up on me when I asked if they were open. As I only live a couple of miles away, went anyway. Lights are on, sign above the door says open. And the door is locked. It's too bad. I am from Miami, and would love to have a real botanica so close to me. Looks like I'll be driving in to New Orleans proper.
