We had a wonderful experience for our 50th class reunion using The Good Time DJs. They delivered exactly what we had requested even though it was somewhat short notice. Would definitely recommend them.

Daniel Jamieson and company did a great job with our wedding in New Orleans. They made it easy to communicate what we needed and helped us throw a great party.

The guys showed up to our Mardi Gras float and got all of the equipment rigged up quickly. Few technical difficulties in the beginning to get everything set up, but that was it! We were sounding perfect for the duration of the parade. Would definitely book again!

I booked Daniel J. through another DJ Company, Toast Entertainment, but he sent me an email to review him with this company as well. We had a terrible experience with him. On our wedding day, about a half hour before the ceremony, we were informed that the wireless mics would not work in the ceremony space and the DJ had not brought any other mics or mic cables. So our officiant was just told to speak loudly. The ceremony space was fairly small (we had around 120 guests) and we were not told of any space requirements beforehand. This was sprung on us at the last minute. We paid $50 extra for a lapel mic for the ceremony and instead we ended up with no mic whatsoever, which was NOT what we paid for. The company did NOT give us a refund. We only had 2 songs for our processional so the DJ’s job was fairly simple. The first song, however, was abruptly cut off in the middle of a word, which I thought was odd - I assumed it would be common sense for a DJ to fade out the song. When we entered the reception area for our first dance song, the DJ played the wrong song. Then he got confused when we asked him to play the song we requested (which was on the form we submitted beforehand), and the DJ proceeded to start playing the beginning of TWO other songs before finally landing on the right one. This was extremely frustrating because I spend hours filling out Toast’s extremely detailed questionnaire form which outlined exactly what songs were supposed to play when. It seemed like the DJ either didn’t have the form or he forgot to look at it? On the form, I also requested the first dance song to be faded out halfway through so we wouldn’t have to dance for too long. The DJ instead played the entire song. During the reception, The speakers were terrible quality and it was extremely difficult to understand anyone who was speaking on the mic. I remember my aunt and mom trying to keep up with the cha cha slide and my cousins said “just follow the instructions in the music!” And both of them were like “we can’t understand a single word!” One of the reasons we signed up with Toast Entertainment was because our DJ was supposed to be the MC for the evening. This was not the case. We gave the DJ a detailed timeline of our reception. I suppose it’s possible that he had made some announcements and nobody heard him (because no one could understand or hear anything on the PA system he was using). Because of that, we had to squeeze them in towards the end of the ceremony after many of the guests had left and the bride and groom had to run around the room and gather everyone for the toasts, trying to yell above the crowd. Then the groom had to announce and introduce his own toasts because (in the words of the DJ) “people will only listen to someone they know” as he handed off the microphone to the groom. Didn’t we hire him to make these announcements for us? If he is unable to get people’s attention then it seems like he shouldn’t be an MC. During one of the toasts, the best man made a joke about how much the groom HATES Phil Collins. The DJ clearly misheard him (because of the terrible sound quality) and thought he was a Phil Collins fan, because immediately after the toast he played a Phil Collins song and he yelled out to the groom “I played Phil Collins for you!” All of my bridesmaids started requesting music towards the end of the night because they said his song selection was so bad (one of them even called him the “worst DJ ever.”) Several weeks after the wedding, Daniel began sending me emails asking me to review his google and Facebook pages for his own DJ business, which seems odd since we hired him through Toast. He then proceeded to send us more emails weeks later, and I noticed he had added us (without consent) to his promotional email list. I understand that mistakes are bound to happen, and I very rarely write bad reviews, but the combination of ALL the issues we had during our wedding was just too much not to warn others.
