These are by far the worst apartments in the state of Louisiana. They are poorly staffed, incompetent and cruel. One month into living in these apartments my entire apartment was flooded, ruining clothing, food etc. I wasn't compensated only given a "sorry" no one came by to fix the repairs I've had because of it and I'm currently still residing in a molded unit. They've moved new tenants in nearby unit but when I asked to move none of the units are available. I reached out to Regional Vice President and this was the response:
Hi Stephanie,
'Thank you for reaching out regarding your experience. I apologize your apartment was flooded. Unfortunately, these things can happen when living in close quarters with others which is why we always recommend that our renters get renters insurance. The insurance, obtained by the renter, would reimbursed the renter any damages to their personal property.
I understand that you are a new move in and this was a very frustrating experience. Having excessive belongings on the floor, in the kitchen etc. made this more of a challenge for all involved. Please understand, the on-site team did everything they could to get your apartment back to its normal state as fast as possible.
Repairs to your apartment were completed yesterday and I hope the remaining time you spend at Boardwalk is a pleasant experience.

The excessive items were boxes because I had just moved in and haven't had time to unpack.
Two days ago the deadbolt jammed and because Boardwalk doesn't have emergency locksmiths I had to pay out of pocket $100 and I just got word that I won't reimbursed at all when it's their cheap door.
I am frustrated and angry at how 1st Lake has handled me in both situations

Apartments have mold, unclean carpet area, appliances falling apart please don't move here.
