Took the “hands on” class for my birthday on a Wednesday afternoon from 2-6. It was fantastic! I will be back next year. Chef Anne and her amazing staff were the most fun. Another couple from Ohio, that were first timers to New Orleans, took the class with us and we had the best time with them too. We made chicken gumbo w/andouille sausage, crawfish etoufee and bread pudding! The best part of this was learning the technique and eating the Fruits of our labor. We had plenty of room to chop and stir and great instructions on New Orleans cuisine w/side stories to go with them.

We love this place and we love Nita! The food is so good. Our family looks forward to cooking these recipes often. Thanks for a wonderful experience.

My grandson and I spent 3 plus wonderful hours tonight creating a tasty three course meal. We enjoyed everything from prep to bananas foster with a delightful chef and assistant guiding us through each course. Highly recommend the experience.

Here on a quick vacay with a friend. We come to NOLA all the time so we wanted to do something different versus the usual Bourbon Street crawl. There were two places that offered hands-on cooking classes but despite the higher price, we decided on Crescent City Cooks! Since we were the first two to sign up for our selected class, we decided the menu. We arrived to find that we were the only two in the class, which was a real bonus. Our instructor, Lin, and her assistant Frank were THE best! We couldn't have gotten luckier to have them. They both had easy going personalities and we learned an awful lot of New Orleans history due to Lin's upbringing and background. The history lessons were a bonus we were not expecting. I learned a lot about cooking that I wouldn’t pick up watch YouTube videos and I feel like I’m ready to go home and replicate the recipes they gave us! Don’t let the price scare you. This class and experience is worth every penny!
