Service is VERY slow. Food was ok. Over charged me on my bill, had to wait forever for a credit and re-bill. Interior is lacking, though it seemed clean.

My husband and went here for lunch. I got the mini Manchac Cobb and he got the Rib small plate. They were both excellent. Everything about the salad was wonderful. Huge shrimp, delicious dressing, lump crabmeat. The ribs were very tender and the sauce was delicious. My husband loved the coleslaw. Sorry to say we were a little under dressed. We will definitely be back. Please keep up the quality, we need something like this in Ponchatoula.

We had a table of 11 people and we went at 11:40 today for lunch. My husband and I left at 1:18pm and others were just getting their food. When we got there the place was empty, only us. We had two waiters. Each had half the table. The ones that ordered salads got our food at 1:05. All I had was lettuce and they put a little Parmesan cheese. I ordered a Cesar Salad and they put just oil on it. No dressing what so ever. My husband and this brother’s chicken was not cooked completely. I paid $13.00 for lettuce and oil. My husband got lettuce, chicken and the dressing on his Cesar Salad for $22.00 and he couldn’t Eat most of it cause the chicken wasn’t done. This is a lunch. His other brother got a steak and it was ok but the potatoes were so salty that you could not eat them. We all tasted his potatoes and could not believe how much salt was used. My sister in law got a fish dish and it was very good. My husband and I had to leave to get back at work and missed the cake. Others came in after 12 and were swerves before us. All I had was lettuce and it took a hour and 15 minutes to get. The waitress were very nice.

My husband and I ate here today at about 11:30. I ordered a glass a water to drink, and when it came I was told that they were out of lemons. That was ok, since I will drink it either way, but it just seemed strange that they didn’t have lemons. My husband ordered the 1/2 fried chicken, and received three pieces of chicken (I thought it should be 4), and it did not come with puréed sweet potatoes as stated on the menu. It had diced potatoes instead. My order was the blackened drum, and it came with corn maque choux instead of a fried green tomato as stated on the menu. While the food tasted fine, we weren’t told about these changes beforehand, and both dishes seemed to be with cheaper ingredients and lacking spinach which was stated on the menu also. I was looking forward to the fried green tomato!

I enjoyed Cafe Nola, but this new renovation and menu is far superior. The steak I had here is easily the best cut of meat in the area, and the presentation is great as well as the toppings /sides. Jacmel Inn and The Steak House in Hammond are only places local that are comparable, but based on the two steaks I have had at Filet house thus far, they were definitely a step above the competition. My wife also enjoyed her salad and the seafood pasta, I was impressed with the quality and quantity of meat in both. The lighter interior colors, really the only noticeable interior renovations from Nola cafe, were well done and makes the atmosphere much better and uplifting. About to order a burger for pick up, looking forward to assessing the quality, and I'm sure it will be an improvement on what Nola cafe previously offered. Lastly, the fact they will be open normal hours on Sunday will make this for sure my favorite resturant in the area, as their competition (jacmel, the steak house, Roux&Brew) all are not open on Sunday, which is the only day I do not work. Highly recommend Filet House, I noticed the other people who have given negative reviews (1 & 2stars) obviously were biased and ignorant, so I would advise ignoring them.
