Clarion Hotel

The rooms were spacious and clean. Im very picky and was concerned about staying here after reading the reviews. I rated my experience with 4 stars because they are doing repairs throughout the building, but we had no other problems. Good for the price!

I rolled the dice staying here. Because some of the reviews are not very good. Looks like they have remodeled recently. Very nice hotel.

We booked the Clarion hotel in Shreveport, because it was the "sponsor" hotel for an event we attended. We booked for 2 nights, but ended up staying only one. I was with my 2 children, and upon arriving, we noticed it wasn't quite as nice as the pictures online; a little less kept, and outdated. The room was large, but one of the beds smelled of urine, which was really noticable when turning down the sheets. We were moved to another room at the end of the hallway....it was equally as run down and not very clean but at least didn't smell of urine. However, all night, we heard the ice machine dumping frozen ice, replenishing it's supply, and we were woken every time the heater/fan turned on as it was incredibly loud. The linens on the bed wouldn't stay put, as they were too small for the beds, and we maybe had about 2 hrs sleep. We cancelled our 2nd night stay in the middle of the 1st night, because another day in this hotel would be unbearable. We booked at another major chain as short distance away, and saw how a hotel should be. The added nail in the casket was the breakfast in the morning you had to pay for....horrendous. NEVER would I stay in a Clarion at any destination, for fear of having the same thing happen. It doesn't appear much pride or effort is taken in the up-keep of the hotel. There are more hotels in the area, worth the price....avoid this hotel!!!
