Cash for House companies always felt like a scam to me. I never paid them much thought.
In September when my father in-law passed away, leaving an incomplete house, both my husband and I found ourselves completely overwhelmed. Not only did we need to clear out decades of life debris, we needed to figure out what to do with the house and property. I happened across a HomeVestors flier and decided to do some research. It seemed like a perfect solution, however I was dubious.
Nothing had been easy about this, until HomeVestors and Darryl Mueller came into our worlds. Research had showed a solid reputation for the HomeVestor and We Buy Ugly Houses companies, and by pure luck we connected with the Maine Rep Darryl. He was super responsive, thorough, calming, and professional. He communicated in a way that worked with our schedules, texting or emails, was prompt in all communications and gave clear and concise answers to everything that arose.
From first site walk to the closing, everything progressed at a pace we dictated as the sellers, never rushed or pressured and with the emotional nature of selling a lost loved ones property, the compassion Darryl showed throughout the process was incredible. I am grateful.
What we were paid for the incomplete house and property was more than fair.
I highly recommend HomeVestors as a fair, solid company should you find yourself in a situation where you need to sell your home fast. I also HIGHLY recommend Darryl Mueller. He knows how hard this can be, his compassion and empathy for the situation was incredibly amazing. His professionalism, responsiveness, and thoroughness is exactly what we needed.
