I pricelined this hotel on a bid and was excited with my price until I started reading the reviews. My excitement started to plummet. After reading all the reviews and figuring out which area of the hotel might best serve my needs, the front desk was extremely helpful in putting me in the right room. I found the room to be adequately cleaned and up to a decent standard, maybe not a 3-star quality that I'm used to but for the price I paid, I really felt okay about it. I was hesitant to eat in the bar to be honest, but the bartender was friendly and welcoming and when I asked him about the French Onion soup, he was adamant that it was one of the better things they offered. It was really one of the better French Onion Soup's I've had the pleasure of eating. It was silky, onions were cooked to perfection, and the bread atop the soup was perfectly crisped and covered in gooey, baked cheese. I seriously thought about ordering a second crock. The following day I walked down town on some wonderful residential streets and got a good sense of what Bath consists of. The location of the hotel is not in the heart of the town, however the walk was less than 25 minutes and really enjoyable. By car, you're looking at maybe 5 minutes. On the whole, I found this hotel to be very comfortable, however I definitely would not want to pay over 90.00 a night since breakfast is not included unfortunately.

I booked on Priceline. No way is this a three star hotel. First they put me in the "Tower", which must be the cheap seats. You have to take this tiny, scary elevator to the third floor, walk allll around to the other side of the hotel, then shlepp up two flights of stairs with your luggage. The AC went off and on and off and on, the fan didn't stay on. I finally had to just turn the AC off and turn the fan on to keep it from cycling. I could only open the window a crack, and it didn't have screens!! I felt so closed in I could barely sleep. Then to top it off, CONSTRUCTION CREWS were clanking and beeping at 6:30 AM!! I called the town, and apparently they have permission to do that, so expect this to be going on FOR MONTHS. The counter staff weren't particularly interested in any of my concerns. I would NEVER consider staying here again. It's not even in a nice area.
