Grady's West Shore Motel is a hidden gem on Highland Lake; a beautiful quiet spot. A small motel with large, very comfortable, clean rooms. The owners are fantastic- very warm and welcoming. We'll be back!

I always try to book a room at this motel when I go to visit my boys who live in Harrison. Not only are the owners very friendly and personable but the rooms are very clean. You can play horse shoes or sit down by the lake and enjoy the scenery. I highly recommend this notel. It fills up quick because they only have 4 rooms but if you ever are able to stay there, do it. It's #1!!!

In town to conduct historical research. Stayed in room 9. Pleasant enough place, but at the price I paid there were notable lapses that should have been caught by housekeeping, especially in winter when a deep cleaning is usually performed. In the bathroom, there were a few hairs on the sink and the chrome wasn't cleaned very thoroughly. The tub/shower had a number of loose hairs and the chrome work was carelessly cleaned. Toilet was adequately clean. Dead insects in the window sill. The kitchen area was adequate. Notable strikes were leftover crumbs and pieces of food in the fridge, excessive amount of OLD dust and grease in the range burners, and a few crumbs in the silverware drawer. Sleeping area suffered from a very dusty floor indicating that the housekeeper didn't mop/swiffer and carelessly swept. Modest amount of dust on the room surfaces. Beds had very firm mattress but the sheets felt rather cheap. Pillows seemed quite cheap and lumpy but thankfully clean. Bed covers/duvet were of questionable vintage but thankfully free of rips/stains. Decor overall was badly outdated, but was in good condition for its age.
