image I've been a happy customer for something like 7 years, for both heating oil and propane, but I would never recommend them at present.
Firstly, online oil ordering has been disabled for months now, so I have to call to order. The ability to order online is key for me, and I understand temporary system issues, but this is prolonged and there's no status update/ETA for restoration, or any communication around the issue.
So fine, it's inconvenient but not the worst to have to call, right? Wrong. The line is constantly busy, so you get the emergency response line who just tells you to call back later.
I've called four times today alone. I'd much prefer the ability to wait in a call queue or leave a message/request a call back.
Also, ditto to the last reviewer who mentioned how rude and combative the energy answering service is. They've hung up me on my last two calls.
If this continues, I'll probably order from a competitor I've used in the past, because what I've valued most from Crowley is their great service, and that seemed to be totally absent now.

image Hey Crowleyjust got off the phone with your emergency call center and I thought you should know how combative and dismissive the women we spoke with was. We called in concerned about a leak in our water heater and she mocking told my wife that this was only for emergencies!! like leaks and shut offs like a hole in your tank, not leaks in the system! she seemed bothered with both of us the moment we called in. (Twice) Definitely not the customer support we are used to when calling Crowley.

image Called to order about 100 gallons of fuel for a standard dual tank system. An address in Topsham, been buying fuel since 2004 and I always pay in full. The woman answering the phone at 8:30 on Monday 11/22/2021 gave me a hard time, claimed my tanks need to be lower before filling as they will over pressurize and leak etc etc. each tank is slightly below 75% so that means 275X0.25 = 68.75 gallons times 2 tanks = 137.5 gallons needed. So according to Crowley having space for 137 gallons is not low enough to place an order. This pressurizing issue is an issue w tanks that are not vented right, or could be an issue if the tanker driver does not pay attention to the whistle while filling. It is not an issue 99.9% of the time. Yet my tanks are vented properly and are designed to be filled. I ordered fuel from dead river, they were pleasant, and came out and filled my tanks. Good bye Crowley.

Hi Ted- We apologize for the miscommunication. We are more than happy to fill your tanks in a scenario like this. We hope you give us the opportunity to better serve you in the future. Thank you. -The Customer Service Team
