Looks like a very nice store but they have little interest in helping. We wanted to hike up to Jockey Cap to see the pedestal and plaque. It's not a long hike but it is steep. The trail head appears to be right at their parking lot. Later we learned there was a dirt road near the school that we could have driven up and parked. There were lots of empty spots to park. All but two said "NO PARKING FOR HIKERS". The two free spots were occupied. I went into the store and explained we came from Florida hoping to see Jockey Cap. I explained that the two spots were taken but all the rest were open. I asked the young man there if I could pay to park for an hour. He said "NO". Then I asked if I purchased some food, then could I leave the car for a short hike to Jockey Cap. His answer was "NO"! Not very helpful. An empty parking lot and a paying customer still no deal! We went to the Dollar General next door. They said park the car and hike the trail. These folks are great! Plus we love DG's Ripple Cut Potato Chips, if you get a chance drop by and buy some.

My fiancé and I come here regularly and I have always gotten food out of the warmer and it’s always been amazing. Last night I decided to grab something from the cold section. I got a turkey and Swiss sandwich with pickles and onions and a pasta salad. They were both disgusting. It was So dry. My fiancé loves turkey and he even said it was gross, just to put things in perspective for you. The pasta salad was super dry as well, so I put Italian dressing on it before I decided to not eat it all together. It was still gross. I love pasta salad but not from here. I’m super thankful I got chicken tenders or I would not have eaten dinner last night. My fiancé was happy with his dinner as he got food from the warmer. If you come here, I recommend getting food from the warmer.

Cute little store, you can get gas, food *their chicken tenders are really good, all kinds of souvenirs and drinks. There is also a walking trail behind them that will take you to the top of jockey cap mountain where there is a bronze monument that shows all the mountains in the area. Worth the stop if you are driving by the area. The place to park for the trail is marked on the side of the store.
