C N Brown Company

This is the most incompetent heating company on the planet. The very first time I did business with them, they moved my delivery date without even telling me so I had to call THEM to find out. I am supposed to be on auto fill but they won't fix that, so I'm constantly paranoid I'm going to run out of propane. Today I called to order, and they tell me they can't deliver until the first of March, and I about a third of a tank left.. They're not even doing emergency deliveries at this point. I'm astonished that this company's customer service is truly this poor. Disgusting.

Called almost two weeks ago and ordered oil. Was told delivery would be the 12th, ran out on the 11th no biggie. Then I call the 12th at 430 and they tell me my delivery date was changed to the 16th. Mind you I have ALREADY PAID in cash. Its now 4:25pm the 16th and we're about to get a big storm. I put in 5 more gallons and hope they show up. Do you not not have phones? Regardless looking for a new more dependable oil company with the decency to give their customers a heads up.

I have done business with CN Brown for over 10 years. I have always received outstanding service with no issues...until today. In December I spent a week in the hospital. While I was there my wife ordered oil. With the holidays, she was told it would be 10 days before we could get a delivery. Irritating but not the end of the world. The day she called and ordered the price of oil was $2.79 per gallon. She provided her debit card information and was told it was all set. Mind you, I have always paid for my oil in advance the day it was ordered, without issue. Fast forward to Monday, January 10th. More than 10 days after the order was placed. Over the weekend the company jacked their price up $0.25 per gallon. The delivery shows up, invoice gets printed, and I get charged $3.04 per gallon. Understanding it's not the driver's fault, I write a check and call the office. When I spoke with the lady at the office I was informed that CN Brown no longer takes payment the day oil is ordered and all customers are expected to pay the price the day of the delivery. She claimed that it was a recent change within the last month. Mind you no notification was mailed out to customers and when my wife placed the order she was not informed of this "policy change." I was told there was nothing they could do, it basically is what it is. They would not make an exception despite their failure to notify their customers. As a result I will never do business with CN Brown again. In 1 day this company has ruined a decades old relationship. I will make sure that everyone I know is aware of these changes and highly suggest they use a more honest and expedient company. CN Brown has gone down hill and treating customers like this is going to result in their inevitable "Going Out of Business."

Ordered oil two weeks ago and was told yesterday they would drop it off. I called this morning and the woman apologized and said she would have someone there today. I get home and no delivery. I call AGAIN. This time the woman tells me there was an emergency and they couldn’t do anything today. I said ma’am I have been a week without oil, you never came and now you are telling me you don’t know when someone can be here? It’s end of December for Christ sakes! Completely unacceptable!! Support a local company instead of a corporate business. These people have zero customer service.
