This is my second camper from Scotts. The first camper in 2015 was for my seasonal site. It was all handled from first inquiry to financing through emails. They delivered it to the Turner location and away I went. Great experience. Sold that camper last year and this year we were in the market for a newer, lightweight camper for actual hauling this time. Found a great camper online and texted about it. They got back to me immediately and I set out the next morning to Manchester because I knew it would go fast. The camper looked great, just a couple discrepancies from the ad to the actual unit, however, I did see and accept those differences. Financing went smoothly and we picked up the camper a couple days later. There was an issue with the fridge not working when we got home and I texted them for help. I wasnt expecting to hear back so quickly because it was Saturday AND the camper show was going on, but Scott got back to me and we started to troubleshoot the issue. First thing Monday morning, I was contacted about bringing the camper back in to be looked at. I was hoping to get into the Turner location but they were fully booked in service until next week. As soon as I pulled into the parking lot, the service techs were climbing inside and taking the fridge out to see what was going on. It was found that the fridge compressor had broken. Luckily, they had taken precautionary action because of the current supply situation and ordered a few fridges to have on hand. They were able to swap out the fridge immediately and I was on my way yet again. I have high expectations of customer service because its also my job. Let me tell you, no business is perfect and sometimes there are frustrations from both sides. We had a little bit ourselves but mutual patience and understanding goes a long way. Scotts Recreation has and sells a lot of inventory as well as provides service on a lot of units. Anyone that has owned a camper knows that these things always have issues, new or not. Its the nature of the beast. These things take time and I for one am appreciative that they pulled out all the stops during their busiest season to prevent my trip from being postponed or ruined. My advice for camper shoppingdo your own thorough research on the units, read forums, look everything over very well, listen to the service techs during the demos and get the extended warranty coverages.
