I had a great experience with Abrams Floors! From start to finish they were professional and attentive. Travis, who installed our floors, did an excellent job and kept us updated with videos and texts about the progress throughout the weeklong install. They were on schedule and the floors turned out even better than I could have imagined. Heather and the owner John were responsive and always available to answer any questions.. I would highly recommend Abrams floors for your next project!

Abrams was quick to provide a quote for our covered porch refinishing. John talked me out of the marine spar finish I specifically asked for for a penetrating oil-based finish he recommended specifically for this project. He, being the professional, I took his suggestion.
Their sanding job was terrible, leaving stripes across the floor and a border around the entire porch and the finish was applied inconsistently and with lots of brush strokes. The attached pictures were after they were done. I contacted the manufacturer myself and they provided instructions to fix the mess.
They had to sand the floor again to fix the sanding and remove the finish and started to apply a new finish - when I noticed they were now using an indoor finish...
Given the experience last time, I reached out to the manufacturer and they confirmed it is not for outdoor use and should never be used outdoors. I again forwarded the email to John and got a reply of Got it.
They packed up that day and they never returned an email or call again.
As the manufacturer said the finish they applied didnt hold up at all. Within a month, the porch decking rotted, stained, absorbed water and the fasteners even rusted through the wood.
After winter, we had someone else come replace their work and repair the damage - which looks great now. Ultimately, however, we will need to have the entire porch replaced due to Abrams shoddy work and over sanding.
To date weve still never heard from Abrams since the Got it. email in August 2020.
UPDATE: An hour after posting this review I received a voicemail from John - which, in closing, stated "We're not ever going to be interested in taking care of it now, so, you know, good luck, thank you, and have a great day."
In response to his owner response - the porch was a 6 year old fir porch (on a 150 year old house) - the porch was in like new condition and the person who came after Abrams was able to refinish the floor like new - but it's too thin to ever refinish from abrams over sanding.

we started a project to repair and refinish or hardwood floor bought materials had multiple dates to start job. They never showed up, never started the job, and never! returned phone calls. Horrible experience can't say if they do good work, but can say they strung us along for months without showing up.

We called Abrams Hardware and got a prompt reply. John took the time to look at our cottage two times, discussed options and promptly gave us a detailed quote. We had red pine installed in our kitchen, dining room and sunroom. We also had our living room sanded and poly as well as two bedrooms. We had three different kinds of floors. Ben took the time and care to install beautiful red pine floors. He has the expertise and experience to do the job right with attention to all the details that we would never have imagined like how to transition the floors in several doorways and laying flooring around a wood burning stove. Cory and Matt arrived next and did the sanding and staining. They were both delightful and experienced and again took the time and expertise to do an amazing job. Our cottage is truly transformed! I highly recommend this professional and experienced company!
