KNOWLES MECHANICAL INC. SENT AN INEXPERIENCED TECHNICIAN TO SERVICE OUR TOYOTOMI HOT WATER HEATER. THEY REQUIRED (SINCE I WAS NOT A PREVIOUS CUSTOMER) A VISA DEPOSIT OF $250 FOR THE SERVICE CALL. THE WOMAN THAT TOOK MY CALL FOR SERVICE STATED THAT IF THE $250 DIDN'T COVER ALL CHARGES THAT I WOULD BE BILLED FOR THE ADDITIONAL CHARGES. I HAVE NEVER RECEIVED AN INVOICE FOR ADDITIONAL CHARGES. HOWEVER, A NEW CHARGE TO OUR VISA ACCOUNT IN THE AMOUNT OF $377.84 SHOWED UP ON OUR NEW VISA STATEMENT. THAT BROUGHT THE TOTAL CHARGE FOR THE SERVICE CALL TO $627.84. WE HAVE PAID THE VISA CHARGES. I WAS TEMPTED TO DISPUTE THE CHARGES BASED ON THEIR FAILURE TO NOTIFY ME OF THE ADDITIONAL CHARGES IN ADVANCE OF THE NEW VISA CHARGE. BUT, I AM A GOOD CITIZEN, SO I 'SWALLOWED THE CHARGES ... BUT I CAN STATE WITHOUT RESERVATION, THAT I WILL NOT USE KNOWLES MECHANICAL FOR SERVICE AGAIN. I WILL CERTAINLY NEVER RECOMMEND THEIR SERVICE TO ANY PERSON. THEY MAY NOT BE IN BUSINESS MUCH LONGER, ANYWAY.

Knowles has been really great to work with. They have responded to our no heat calls very quickly and send out techs that are clearly highly skilled and effective in making necessary repairs. The office team is also fantastic - Jason, Alissa, and Colby are all so knowledgeable, nice, and helpful. We really appreciate the Knowles team!

We have used Knowles Mechanical At Ascent Global Logistics in Hallowell, ME for the past few years and will continue to use them. They have always provided excellent service, never leave a mess and respond timely. Office staff have excellent customer service as well.

They have poor management, business skills, and I wouldn't go to them if they were the last place open in Maine.
