        Camp Arcadia is a gem! I went there for 8 summers, from ages 8-16. I dreamed of sending a daughter that I might have one day. Fast forward to the summer of 2022, when I sent my 9 year old. She had a phenomenal experience and can't wait to return. As a first time sleep away parent, whose daughter has anxiety, I was nervous to say the least. But, I trusted in my love for Arcadia and the staff who I know well. My daughter loved it and the communication from camp was over the top. She was comfortable, cared for, built up confidence, learned new skills, made new friends... it was everything I hoped for her. We're blessed to be Arcadians!

      Our Mission

      Make the world better and more beautiful because you have been in it.

       

      Our Goals for each Camper and Counselor are:

      1. To build confidence and skills so that girls will find their place in the world, contribute to the diverse communities to which they belong, and include others in their adventures

      2. To encourage healthy risk taking through the exploration of new areas of learning and group living so girls will have the confidence to listen with compassion, take initiative with unselfishness, and face new challenges with strength.

      3. To heighten their sensitivity to and awareness of the outdoors so girls will respect and care for living things, the environment, and one another

      4. To develop interpersonal skills, establish lasting friendships, and cultivate understanding and respect for others who may be different from them, including, but not limited to, individuals of varying abilities, cultures, genders, races, and faith traditions.

       

      Activities:

      1. We have over 22 different activities daily at Camp Arcadia. These activities range from outdoor skills in Campcraft to putting on the camp play! We definitely have something for everyone!

      2. Our activity program is organized by skill rather than age therefore each camper’s activity schedule is unique to them. 

       

      Lodging:

      1. All of the campers live in rustic screened in cottages with their counselors and girls of a similar age and grade.
      2. They learn communal living skills, how to take care of their space, and personal routines.
