What a lovely place to spend your later years. Clean, classy and comfortable. Our parents seem happy there and praise the food choices. I praise God that they had an opening!!!

Ive been exploring senior living in greater Portland. Ashton Gardens has particular appeal to me. The welcoming Sales Manager showed me several apartments, from studio to 2 bedroom. The apartments are roomy and bright; some have unusual floor plans, which appeal to me. The grounds are beautiful, well-maintained, carefully landscaped, and include a walking trail. I can comment only on the facility, not the living experience (hence 4 stars instead of 5), but can say that, in my opinion, Ashton Gardens is well worth looking into.

For the most part, our experience has been positive. The staff is friendly and efficient. The residents are welcoming and friendly. The one negative is the time it takes to get your meal. Aston gardens tries for a fine dining experience. The resident population are not fine dining people. A buffet service would be much more appropriate and would not consume the time the present service consumes. Were happy here. I only wish the meal plan was more flexible and better suited to the existing population.

Ashton Gardens and the Community there is fabulous!! My mom didn't want to go and fought me for over a year! She loves it now!! Margaret, Chuck, Sarah everyone there are great!! I want to move in there too!
