We were looking for a place to spend this weekend, and found Lakeside. It was just what we were looking for, comfortable, relaxing, and rustic.
Our cabin was right on the water, and had a brand new couch and recliner in it. A large living room and kitchen combination, a bath with shower, and two good sized bedrooms. The cable TV was brand new, there were also lots of new towels and new linens on the bed. Outside, there was a picnic table and charcoal grill, as well as more chairs.
The owners were very friendly and helpful, and it was the perfect place to just relax and enjoy the water, and watching the loons. There is also cellphone service! My cellphone is T-Mobile, and I had very good AT&T signal from the cabin. (There is a roaming agreement in Maine, so I had to use wifi for data, but my phone worked perfectly on AT&T for calls). This was the only place we have stayed in the Grand Lake Stream area where I had cell phone service in our cabin.
The stores and a restaurant are less than a mile away, so the location is very convenient.We hope to stay there again when in the area.
