This experience was one of the worst dining experiences Ive ever had, less than nice staff, cardboard tasting food, and an all around horrid dine-in experience. Please save yourself 100 dollars and dont come here.

growing up and eating here 2-3 times a week with my family were some of the most fond memories of my childhood. Today is my birthday and it deeply saddened us to see some of the best local authentic chinese cuisine to be no more. I literally cried upon reading the giant sign posted on their window that read "We are now CLOSED out of business" I will miss this business and the very kind staff and family that worked her for years

One mai a wanted a good lunch place, so we decided to go to imperial China in south Portland. I ordered 2 orders of steamed meat dumplings. The wait was pretty short.  I got 6 dumplings to start and the waiter said that I would get the other 6 in a couple of minutes. They were amazing! I personally love doughy food and this is the doughiest you can get. The meat on the inside was extremely flavorful and soft, but not mushy. My mom ordered Mei fun noodles with chicken, and she loved it. It was the perfect lunch portion and was super affordable. My aunt ordered chicken lo Mein and she really liked it too. Overall it was a good experience the food was great, but if you are looking for somewhere fancy this is not your place.
