My little 19.5 lb Bicheon, Josie, stole 2 rows of dark chocolate from a big bar that was tucked in a hiding place. She must have inhaled it cause I quickly grabbed her & it was gone. The vet found 8 whole almonds among the dark chocolate, 1 string bean & some grass. She had to get her tummy pumped. I thought I had done a really good job of hiding it from her. An expensive & dangerous mistake . I was so scared & upset..she is 13 years old. The vet said it was a toxic amount & she might not live thru the night if the chocolate stays in her. The next day Josie was quiet and subdued. By evening she was back to normal. I'm so grateful they were there and open for this emergency ..Thank You
