University Tutor - Boston

Annoying customer service who will spam you during finals week to ask for a good review. Tutors are genuine people, but, after getting tutoring in multiple subjects, they usually aren’t familiar with entire subject matter. Then, they will spend the whole session trying to figure out what they are trying to teach you while you figure it out in half the time and wonder why you are paying for their service. I wasted 1.5 hour session because the tutor doesn’t know the material despite being assigned as an expert in that field. Website is well made but has some hiccups that effect performance and user experience. Overall, proceed at your own risk unless you find a better option.

I am so thankful for the work Varsity Tutors has done with my daughter. Given her diligent efforts and the guidance of VT, she made a dramatic jump in her SAT scores, and was able to get early acceptance to Boston College! Thank you.

The tutors are amazing but they really need to improve the website because it is always super laggy, but i would give the tutor I had 5 stars.

Keith has been a great tutor for my son who was struggling with pre-calculus. My son has found the sessions EXTREMELY helpful and his understanding of the subject has gone up dramatically, as have his grades. Keith has been extremely professional, is always on time, has been accommodating about rescheduling, and works very well with my son. I was afraid that the session length, 1.5 hours, would be too long at the end of the day but it has been perfect.

Fun weather class with Dr. Reed Timmer for my 5th grader. He even had video clips from his chases which were fun to watch!
