Town Line Inn Motel

The Town Line Inn, located at 735 Broadway, is now closed for redevelopment. It sat on the Malden, Melrose and Saugus town lines so there was a conflict of jurisdiction of police departments, through no conflict of their own but led to confusion when it came to called for police assistance which was all to-often due to rampant drug use and fights at the facility. The electrical systems were sub-par with loose electrical outlets giving high risk for electrocution because of a plug hanging halfway out, and blinking lights and poor Air Conditioning. The showers were not too well maintained nor were toilets which backed up frequently. The office had vending machines which had old candy, if anything and were hardly replenished. The good points were that it did provide housing, albeit temporary for the desperate traveler and homeless people. Here is the link about the new development: rebusinessonline.com/dh-…

Said rooms were totally renovated guess my room WAS NOT! (Just the floor)The beds were worn out (my 2yr old sank in the middle of 1 of the beds)to many burn holes in comforters to count the TV was a 32"and WAY on other side of the room the bathroom was ancient (no bath tub ) stand up shower was painted over and peeling the drink vending machine in office was broken no coffee (just a dusty stand) and they require a 50.00 cash deposit smh ... I checked out a day early even though I booked threw a non refundable site ...this place was HORRIBLE and DEPRESSING !!! I WILL NEVER STAY THERE AGAIN and wouldn't recommend it unless it's the last place on earth and I mean THE LAST

Booked this hotel for a one night stay through Expedia all the way back on March 29. I was scheduled to stay one night, May 12-13. I drive three hours only to find the hotel completely shut down!
