Music and Movement of Newton

I reached out to Julia to a special music class for our “pod” friend group! Julia was so accommodating with the whole process, from timing to type of music specialized to each child ( from 19 months to 4 months)! She goes with the flow during class, if the kiddos are super active she’ll sing a song that requires more movement. The classes are so fun and every class feels different and unique. A great time for the kids and Julia is amazing to work with !!

I am a father of a 2.5 yo and 9 month old and we were all at that class: (1) Music Together (Canta y Baila) is a WONDERFUL program that teaches Spanish through music. My 2.5yo daughter adores it and sings their songs every day. (2) Julia is a fantastic teacher who cares about bringing joy and education through music to her students; (3) Her voice is beautiful and her energy is even better; (4) it was not too loud bc my 9 month old cries at loud noises and she was having nothing but fun; (5) this woman (Ellen, I guess) decided to come to the park to disrupt a small group of 2-3 yo's singing, dancing, learning, and having fun (for all of 45 min)...who does that? (6) It's a public park and permits were in hand...I mean, if enjoying the outdoors with friends/children laughing, singing, having fun is not appropriate for a park then what are they made for?

This was our first experience with Music and Movement of Newton and it was fantastic. My granddaughter (22 months old) and I went. It was her first organized "class". She/we had a great time and she really got into it. Today we were at the park and she wanted to go to "music" and started to run across the field. Julia is knowledgeable, organized, thoughtful and most important, sweet. This is a gem, especially during these tough times! Thank you!

We love music class with Julia! The littles love sitting in the fresh air while singing/dancing to some good tunes! Julia's class has made this pandemic a little easier. Keep up the great work and positive energy!

Can't say enough good things about the Music Together class for babies! It has been so special for us to be able to enjoy an activity like this together, given that the pandemic has disrupted so many other opportunities. Julia has done an amazing job putting together a safe, fun and enriching class that parents and babies can enjoy together at the park. Our daughter loves it; she gets so happy when we sing the songs we've learned in class at home! It saddens me to see that an abutter of the park where our class is held has taken the time to criticize this business because she is bothered by the noise. I was at one of the classes she interrupted, and I was very surprised, because I didn't find the music to be very loud at all, and it is deeply inoffensive. Certainly not any louder or more bothersome than the children playing at the park's playground, or the cheers from the baseball game that was going on at the same time. A certain amount of noise is to be expected when you live near a busy park. I would hope that during a global pandemic, we could all show a bit of grace and tolerance when it comes to sharing the limited outdoor spaces that so many of us are relying on in new ways.
