Fifth Third Mortgage - Sherry Tedaldi

DH and I were first time home buyers this fall. Sherry T was the only loan officer that was willing to work with us off the bat when we were initially interviewing local banks for our mortgage and refusing to allow them to pull our credit. Sherry was patient, kind, and very supportive to us in our home buying journey. She answered all of our questions promptly and addressed all concerns as they popped up. She also helped us close earlier than we were originally planning. BONUS. Sherry was able to give us accurate and quick estimates on what we would be paying as far as house payments. I think she was only about thirty dollars off in her estimations. At no point did we feel pressured to sign anything. When we asked questions about things not directly related to our house sale (life insurance), she was able to redirect us to resources we should use and ones that we should stay away from. When it came to interest rates, Sherry got us the lowest rate she could by locking us in *just before* they went up. She helped get us in on an offer being put out by 5/3 which will allow us to refinance without paying fees in case the interest rates drop dramatically in the future. I have already handed out her contact information to so many of my new home buying friends. If we ever decide to purchase in the future, we will not hesitate to return to Sherry.

We worked with Sherry to refinance our home. We were absolutely pleased with both her and 5/3. From communication, timeliness, professionalism, and friendliness. I have bought and sold many homes and have worked with many lenders over the years. Fifth Third and Sherry truly exceeded my expectations. Thank you!

Steer clear of this loan agent. She will give you false numbers. You will likely know of it late into the process giving her the advantage. Good luck getting a loan estimate matching her verbal estimates over the phone. Said my great rate came without points only to find out I was paying $420 for the decrease which I never agreed to. Told me the closing costs would be around $2200. The actual cost came in $500 above. Owner is supposed to pay the transfer taxes but she had me paying for it. If you don't read carefully, you will pay fees not yours to pay. Don't rely on Sherry to look out for your interest. Her only interest is hers, typical of bankers. I went with a different bank and lagged behind in schedule to closing due to Sherry's surprises. I might lose my earnest deposit now from the time wasted with Sherry. Don't let her lure you in with promises of the lowest closing costs. She is a shark
