To Kid Ego- Your review name is perfect! Expecting a company to continue to provide you a service without paying their bill will result in that company putting your account on hold or even better, CANCELLATION of service! Sorry it had to end this way but during times like these, small businesses are in a fight to stay alive and some will have no choice but to save their employees time and the cost of products for their paying customers. We communicate all of our expectations from our customers with the email notifications that are sent with each service, so it should be no surprise that payment was expected for further additional service to be performed. Refer back to all the emails that have been sent to you and you will read where it says "NO FREE SERVICE CALLS FOR BALANCES OVER 30 DAYS". Services: Mosquitoes, Lawn pest control, Weed control

New customers beware! Contenders came highly recommended, and the initial visit was great. This company is happy to sign you up for new service, and take your money up front, unfortunately for us it was all down hill from there. They did not show up for nearly 5 weeks after the contract initiated. They are, however, very well versed at providing a variety of excuses to gloss over your concerns, which in our case pertained to just showing up. After several calls and several excuses, they finally did show up, then squeezed in all of the services they missed into just a few weeks. They did not follow their proposed schedule, and when we called concerned about the scrambled order of lawn treatment applications (as you cannot apply weed control after the $1000 over-seeding service, or it will kill germination), the people in the office had no idea what the techs in the field were actually doing. Their verbal accounts and service reports did not align. I won’t bore you with the rest of the details, I can just say they had terrible customer service, yet claim to have bent over backwards for us! The owner was particularly short, and dismissive with our frustrations. Promises were broken every week for months. And at the end, they left us with thriving weeds, a fertilizer burn on the lawn, told us we were no longer customers, but still wanted their money of course after terminating the contract early, and threatened collections. Incredibly bold in this current economic climate. Bottom line is they are expensive, unorganized, and rude. They are another bloated company who struggles to find reliable help, yet are “expanding” so it becomes your problem.
I usually do not write reviews, I just had to forewarn future potential customers what a few thousand dollars of service buys you with Contenders Lawn Service. Service: Weed control
