Christensen Saunas

We ordered a sauna for delivery in January 2021. Very happy with the quality, delivery, and service. We contemplated going with an electric stove because I didn't want to go out in the cold to start the wood stove. Glad we went with wood. The ceremony of starting it adds some charm and you're going to be warm soon anyway. It takes some experimenting with the damper to maximize heat and minimize warming time; read the instructions on their website. I can usually get mine up to MY temperature in 40-50 minutes; wife likes it a little lower and it can be ready for her in 30. You have a little less heat control with wood as opposed to electric so we use the window and steam to make minor adjustments. Like any building in the Midwest, the Asian beetles will try to get in. The sauna is sealed nicely, except the floorboards are slightly gapped on purpose for drainage. So the bugs will get under the sauna in the fall, and then wake from hibernation and join you in the sauna. I'm sure we can fix this next year with the same spray we use on the house. Very pleased with this product and would certainly recommend this manufacturer. Good product, good people.

We bought a small sauna from Christensen Saunas this summer and we are TOTALLY delighted with it! Their design and workmanship are first class. The stove especially is awesome: easy to get going and powerful when you add the right combination of kindling and split logs. We live in northwest Wisconsin on a remote lake, year round. We are using our sauna at least three times a week and it's especially wonderful on a cool or damp evening. Our friends and family who visit enjoy it also; they rave about it. It's cozy, intimate and with the wonderful steam, a super relaxing experience. We can't wait to use it when it's way below zero here! We must say also, that Owen Christensen has been a delight to deal with. He was very responsive and attentive whenever we have had questions. We had the pleasure of visiting him, and received a warm welcome, when he was just about to build our sauna. We were very impressed with his facility and his workers. We more than recommend that you get a sauna from Christensen!

We had a very good experience purchasing a custom sauna from this company. Their website is easy to navigate, the owner is happy to answer all questions and the craftsmanship is top notch. Our sauna was ready ahead of schedule and delivered with care. One minor issue was swiftly addressed by the owner, it is nice to find such quality service today. We love our sauna and look forward to using it for many years.
