Since the move and the remodel this place has been great. The store looks nice and is pretty well stocked and clean. I don't know if it's the parking lot itself or the drivers in it but it's just not my favorite. I wish when entering from Penn Ave. was simpler and less congested. Entering by Bed Bath and Beyond off American Blvd. is easier. Sally Beauty used to only carry what I call knock-off brands. Looks like the product has a similar name to the product but they have stepped it up and now have some actual big names in the store. They do the same with blowdryers and hot tools. They have some tools your professional supply store does not have. I got some gel-removing clips here I have not been able to find anywhere else.  The staff is extremely friendly and they seemed to be very well trained for not being cosmetologists. They are always giving thoughtful insights and testimonies on products.

I ordered online for pickup at the Blaine store, and stopped on my way home from work.  They were closed due to bad weather,  but I thought that might be the case so no big deal.  The next day they sent an email saying my order was ready for pickup. I was at the store within hours,  only to find them closed more than 3 1/2 hours early,  despite their listed hours and email saying they were open.  I called the store and left a message requesting a callback. When no one called,  I emailed customer service.  No response. After 3 days, they canceled my order.  It's no wonder they're closing stores.  I won't be back.

The sales associate Saira was so great. She was super helpful and gave excellent help and service. I will be going back to this location specifically because of how excellent she was. Was so kind and helpful with all of my questions.

I went to Sally Beauty Supply in Richfield, MN, for the first time a couple of days ago to get a bunch of hair grooming tools (combs, clips, etc.). The young woman who greeted me was very polite and helpful. An older woman, who I assume was an owner or manager since she was giving instructions to other employees, very loudly said as I waited to be checked out, "Wow, you needed a LOT of hair products!" I don't need my business to be shouted for everyone to hear and don't like attention drawn to me. Maybe just thank me for coming in instead or ask if I found what I needed? The same young woman who first helped me also checked me out. She quietly, discreetly, and respectfully asked if I did hair. I explained to her that the products were for a local nonprofit.Several hair items were very low stock or out-of-stock, so I'm guessing ongoing shipping and supply issues are still a problem, which might not be in the store's control. I was able to get most of what I was looking for and was able to find substitutes for out-of-stock items.The younger employees were all masked, as I was, but the older woman was not. That made me uncomfortable in a small space. (I don't think there were any signs that masks were required, however.)
