Rochester Animal Control

On two separate occasions now, I've picked up stray dogs, and Rochester Animal Control reunited them with their owners within hours. In my experience, these folks work quickly to help pets find their way back home. The officers have been kind and professional. I'm glad people like them are on duty when there's a pet in need, and I would trust them to help if either of my own two pets ran away.

Animal control hasn't even arrived at my house yet and it's been over an hour. The annoying dog I have down the alleyway is going to be long gone and the animal control is taking forever. Friendly service but they take forever to show up. Even the owner that owns the dog will probably gone as well so the problem wouldn't be solved. If anyone sees this dog please report to police or anything cause this dog has been roaming around the Silver Lake neighborhood for over 4 months. Owner does NOT do anything to keep this dog under control.

I have called 911, police department, and animal control for multiple attacks by a pit bull in our neighborhood that many neighbors are now becoming aware of and animal control did not do anything. They have come out and "tasked with the owners multiple times. The family just leaves their gate open. I have a daycare right across the street and they didn't do anything when we've reported multiple times that this dog is dangerous. The police were helpful, responding to every call, however animal control did not call back after multiple calls. Finally, after calling my neighbor's case worker directly, because her dog had just been bitten, the case worker said she was actually on vacation. That's funny, because my neighbor had called and talked to her two hours previously that morning and had no problem talking with her. I've left multiple messages on the answering machine and no one calls back. They must be waiting for something horrible to happen.
