PetSmart Grooming

In October 2021, I had booked a grooming appt (after waiting 2 months!) for my pup with the extremely talented groomer, Rachel. However, the night before the appt, Rachel apparently decided she was no longer seeing clients on weekdays- only on weekends and by request only. This was not the first slap in the face..lol..I had to hear this from the poor (new and inexperienced) groomer that got assigned to my dogs grooming appt last minute! Rachel didnt even have the decency to call me the night before and let me know that she wasnt going to do weekday appts anymore and was giving me a new groomer (literally). It made me so frustrated! But it wasnt the new groomers fault, it was Rachels (and Petsmarts). Now, My pup has separation anxiety and gets very wiggly/anxious during grooming appts. The reason I really liked Rachel was because she had years of experience and handled my baby with no problems! This groomer we got had only been at PetSmart for 3 months. She was very nice and sweet but obviously just couldnt handle a wiggly or anxious 15 lb dog. I wont mention her name because she is still learning. She just didnt have the experience. She didnt know how to do a round face. So my dogs face came out looking like more of a weird mustache (see pics) I pay over $75 each time I get my pup bathed and groomed because I get the upgrades. This groomer somehow managed to completely forget to clip and grind Bellas nails, brush her teeth, and express her anal glands :( I noticed as soon as we got home (4 Ubers later) and called the salon. I told her she forgot to do it and she was really nice and offered to do it any day she was working, free of charge (I would hope so! Lol I already paid for it lol). And I did try to get Bella back in but I have a very busy schedule and I dont drive so I really couldnt really afford to schedule a time to get Bella back in, after I had just spent time and money on 4 different Ubers that day she was groomed just to get to the salon and back. Uff! All in all, I went to my parents for Christmas and thankfully my mom did my babys nails. But after this last grooming appt and how awful it went (and Rachel totally blowing me off) I just cant justify going back. (Not to mentionPetSmart also locked me out of their grooming services online. So it says I have to call the salon every time to schedule an appt. ) I have a grooming appt with another place scheduled for Feb.2022. Hopefully I will have a better experience with them!!
