I've been looking for a company to replace my diving board and repair my equipment pad. So I reached out to Royal for an estimate and to purchase their pool instruction service. I had no problem getting the instruction service appointment set up, and when they came out I showed them the diving board and equipment pad while they were here and I received an estimate for both (the instruction service went alright as well). I told the individual I had been dealing with that I wanted to move forward with both (the board and pad repair)and asked what next steps were, down payment requirements, etc. I received an email back stating they would move forward and she provided with a date for the services. I didn't respond right away but said glad we're moving forward and I understand if the original date needed to slide. From there it has gone completely downhill. I've called multiple times and sent multiple emails to get updates to see if the board has even been ordered and I don't get calls back. My emails go unanswered and the last time I called to find out if the board had been ordered the individual I had been working with seemed put out when I asked questions about delivery dates and just said she didn't have any information from the supplier. So I thought maybe I came off rude and so my wife called back the next time and she received no answer and no call back. Sooo, I just sent them an email asking about the diving board because if they have ordered it I don't want to leave them in the lurch for the cost, but their responsiveness and lack of customer service are so horrid I won't be doing anymore business with them. I also can't move on to another company to install a diving board if I'm going to be charged twice so I'm hoping I either get a response to the email or a response to this review. Anyway, if you're thinking about doing business with Royal be careful.

Last fall we had our pool cover replaced by royal. When we opened it this spring, the cover shot passed the stoppers and is now stuck open. Upon numerous calls to royal, they are unwilling to take the blame. We have paperwork from the contractor royal hired saying Dan the owner of royal has pics on his phone of what parts we needed but he didn’t bother telling us about it or not to open the cover. Now they want us to pay $500 more to fix it. Kim, who answers the phone, wouldn’t help us at all including she would not give us Dans contact info. She hung up on me twice and now will not answer or return our calls. Great way to do business royal , don’t call Kim with an issue, she’ll tear your head off

Dan and his co-workers are the BEST. We have used them repeatedly since 2011. When you own a pool, you are going to have repairs and expenses....that is just part of pool ownership. That said, I would never go anywhere else. They have always been responsive and helpful to us over the years. Their customer service is above par!
