This guy changes his company name constantly because his work is so lousy that this doesn't leave a paper trail. His name is Otis McGinnis and he's an awful contractor with no values. Stay away!!!!

We were quoted for our project, made a 50% payment that he cashed same day, told us he couldn't start the job for 2 weeks since he's finishing another job. On week 3 his truck was in the shop, on week 4 he had a helper for 2 days & worked 4 hours each day showing up around 12-2pm to start even though he told us we'd be his only job & he would be here at 10am everyday. He then didn't show for 3 days, no call/text that he wasn't coming, ignoring our calls/texts. He then claimed he was in the hospital with Covid, but then later said his employee had Covid & he was with him at the hospital. He showed up the next week with no signs of being ill, and his coworker seemed fine as well. He then started showing up by himself, and said Eddie his coworker was having family issues and can't help him. He would show up 2-3 times/wk and work 3-5 hrs a day. There was even a day he brought his girlfriend who sat in his truck for 3 hours in 85' heat. He didn't show for another week claiming his truck was in the shop (again), his truck has been broken down in our front yard before, he leaves his trash all over our yard, he does HORRIBLE work but then blames the customer saying you've changed the design, I'm just doing what you said to do even though what he does is not what we asked for. After 2.5 months of dealing with this horrible contractor, he walked off our job leaving a giant mess! After getting a new quote, that contractor says it'll all have to be torn out as Ottis did a horrible job, cut corners & it'll all fall apart in a few years if we leave what he did. He also claims we owe him more money even though he did maybe 15% of what was originally quoted. DO NOT USE OTTIS MCGINNIS FOR ANY WORK, HE DOES NOT KNOW WHAT HES DOING!!!

Absolutely DO NOT use Oits Chris McGinnis for concrete work.  We signed a contract to pay 1/2 up front and 1/2 when completed. I also made the mistake of paying for the 17 yards of concrete..... Mr. McGinnis showed up to start the job on last week of April, it was supposed to take 3 days. He showed up around 5 O'clock made a mess and left. Rain filled in the hole he dug and stayed. Finally 3 weeks later he came back without help and started in again ( we had a very wet spring). He would show up around noon or 2 and then take an hour lunch. The forming was terrible!! When he thought he was ready to pour he came up on a Sunday to check out the area and I said PLEASE DO NOT pour on Monday as it was going to rain heavily!!!!  He said "I don't watch T.V." I worked Monday May 20th and my wife said he was there getting concrete delivered....I came home and told his helper to call him and NOT get any more delivered!!!!!. The second truck was on it's way and the RAIN started.....He ran short of concrete and ordered 1 more yard... By this time it had been raining for 3 hours!!! And we had 4 inches of rain that night!!!     HE IS INCAPABLE OF DOING A GOOD JOB!!!! Totally disregarded any of our wishes.... Made bad mistake time after time. Had to "borrow" 2"X4"'s Plastic, Trash bags, Rope, even my shop brooms. It was like he had never done any construction... My wife has pictures of me trying to dig boards out of the concrete and hand float the concrete in the rain at 8 O'clock while they were setting in the truck.... THIS WAS FAR THE WORST EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD WITH A SO CALLED CONTRACTOR!!!  The concrete looks  horrible with many foot prints, already cracked in 2 places, ditches, all the cream was washed off, score marks, plastic imprints and not even edged. I have over $6,000.00 in a mess that would cost 3X's that to fix.  He called and said " I'll make it right, I'll come and stain it". Anybody who has ever been around concrete knows that would not work... He just wanted more MONEY!!!  This is a short version of the whole story.IF YOU USE OTIS CHRIS McGINNIS FOR ANYTHING, YOU WILL REGRET IT.
