We own rental property in Hanley Hills.    Our home had a fire and needed to be renovated. Patterson home improvement was recommended by our property manager. We had a terrible experience. We expected some delays due to the pandemic. However he had numerous delays and excuses. It is a very small house. It took over 15 months to be finished. The work was shoddy and the workers were unprofessional. Then when we had it inspected the hot and cold water were reversed and other defects were found. We are not wealthy people and cannot afford an attorney.  We lost over a year of rental income and had to pay very costly repairs. There is no reason for the project to take that long. We know of homes being built from ground up in less time. Please don't make the same mistake by hiring this company.

They were contracted to do remodeling on my parents' kitchen, bath and hallway. They presented a quote, but there was no itemization. The quote did not include many of the specific things asked for. When asked about the lack of detail in the quote, Daryl responded with, " I don't give itemized quotes." When it came time to start work, my parents requested certain brand names of items and appliances, to which the company demanded payment for each item in the amount that exceeded the quoted amount. This was on top of the down payment and in excess of the agreed upon bid, The guy they sent out to work on the bathroom which was started first, worked on average 20 hours a week. He did very poor work, and had to redo the work twice and it was still unsatisfactory. He put the tile up on the walls before installing the vanity and thought the acceptable fix was to notch out the tile for the vanity. There were several other problems including the drains in both the tub and sink did not drain properly, the tile is uneven in the shower and around the walls, and they did not replace all of the drywall as was quoted. When my parents and Daryl decided to part ways, Daryl insisted that his company be paid for all the time spent by the worker including the time fixing his mistakes. The matter ended up getting lawyers involved and they settled forcing my parents to sign a non-disclosure agreement. But, the agreement did not extend to me, therefore I am posting to warn you about this company. Check their better business bureau profile as well, they have several complaints and this isn't the first time they have settled litigations out of court.
