image Gardens of Grace will be the our landscaper of choice for now on, it is wonderful to have found this company. Their are many, many landscaping companies out there, this one is heads above the rest. They have the professional, hard-working staff and owners, the work is over-the-top beautiful, the price is a value. Thankful to have finally found a landscape company we can trust the work and their word.

image Would highly, highly advise anyone who is looking for landscaping to avoid Gardens of Grace at all costs. They were extremely unresponsive, and once we did speak with Rita, they were unprofessional, condescending and refused to stand behind their product and work. More details about our experience below, I would not want this to happen to anyone else!
We moved in to our home at the end of June. We later came to found out that less than two weeks prior, three Arborvitae Trees were planted in a row by GOG as part of work they were doing for the previous homeowners. At the time we moved in, two of the Arborvitaes appeared to be healthy, and one had some brown spots and dead foliage throughout. We continued to monitor the tree as it continued to brown and die. By mid-August it was apparent the tree was totally dead.
In a discussion with our neighbor, we found out how recently the trees had been planted (we had initially assumed they had been planted over a year ago), as well as the contact information for the landscaping company. We immediately began reaching out to GOG to discuss what options we had and how to move forward. Starting in mid August, my husband or myself called GOG each week, leaving a voicemail and asking them to call us back.
We did not hear back from GOG until we received a call back from Rita at the end of August. Rita immediately deflected and got defensive explaining that as professional horticulturalists they would have only planted the tree correctly and that there must have been some outside influence that caused the tree to die. We explained we understood but were still upset as all three trees had been planted side by side, with two of them doing very well and this was under two months ago. Rita quickly shut us down, again emphasizing GOG as the experts but agreed to stop by 'in the next few days' to evaluate.
10 days go by and Rita had still not stopped by. We called to follow up, left voicemails and still no response from Rita/GOG. We called again the next week, Rita explained that she was super busy (her tone made it obvious we were not her priority) but begrudgingly told us she would try to find some time to come out.
By the end of September, we had still not heard back from Rita/GOG and no one had stopped by to look at the tree. When we got Rita on the phone she was short fused and even more defensive than previously. We explained that at the end of the day, we really just wanted to get this figured out as soon as possible as the tree was brown/dead. Rita said she could send someone to cut down the "eye sore" but there was nothing else she would do.
When we explained that our expectation was that they would stand behind their work, especially as the tree had been planted less than three months prior, she said they do not offer any warranties and that "we were not her customer as the work was done for the previous homeowner." She repeated that there HAD to have been an outside influence and that we probably didn't water the tree enough. We repeated that the other two healthy trees were planted in the same location, at the same time and that we have an in ground sprinkler system that ensures the trees were watered regularly. Rita immediately fired back saying we must have overwatered the trees. At this point my husband and I were in disbelief - less than 30 seconds apart Rita told us we under watered the tree and then over watered the tree, both without her ever stepping foot on to our property. She also mentioned that maybe the culprit was the tree was a good tree for that specific location. We asked if her that was the case, why would GOG have planted that tree there?
Rita was not really making sense, becoming more and more aggravated and refused to take any ownership. As we remained, calm, cool and collected, Rita continued to raise her voice, repeated we were not her customers, called us crazy and told us how great their customer service is. Avoid, avoid, avoid!
