We were told that some of the documents displayed are real and some are copies. A museum should note which is which. The museum physically looks great at street level from the outside but once you're inside you see how a lot of work needs to be done to the inside. On the plus side - it was free !!!!!

This is one of 11 Karpeles museums in the U.S. with a rotating inventory. They boast the largest private collection of documents and manuscripts in the country. Many manuscripts are priceless such as sheet music from Mozart, Beethoven, Handel, and Wagner; Einstein's hand written equation of the theory of relativity; the first printing of the Ten Commandments from the Futenberg Bible; and many more. Unfortunately the St. Louis location either does not possess any such remarkable pieces, or they are not on display. Therefore for all the potential, it is a bit of a disappointment.

This place shows a lot of potential, but it's not there yet. However if you don't like crowds, it's great.
