image Called and was told he would call me right back. Never received any calls. Guess will try someone else.

image I hadn't had them out in awhile and was expecting the price to have skyrocketed. I thought the fee for a sewer lateral snake was very fair.

image Called first thing on a Saturday morning. Ron and his team were at my house within the hour. They were friendly and helpful and able to get a very difficult job done in short order. They cleaned up completely after the job and the price was extremely fair. Will definitely use their services in the future.

image Ron's Plumbing has provided multiple services for me over the past year, with a total cost of $6,000. While I was impressed with their hospitality and work quality, I think it is equallyif not moreimportant to judge a person or business based on how they respond when things go wrong.
I recently encountered an issue where one of Rons staff members broke my cabinet shelf while installing my new kitchen sink. If the staff member had told me he broke the shelf and apologized for it at the time it happened, it likely would not have bothered me; people make mistakes. However, they did not inform me of the damage and instead left me to find it myself.
The way Rons Plumbing has dealt with the issue has been downright insulting. Over a 16-day period, I called Ron four times, left two voice messages, spoke with his receptionist twice, sent an email, and sent three text messages. After all of this, Ron finally acknowledged that the plumber broke the shelf, informed me that they are not responsible, and told me they will not do anything to repair it.
After paying Ron $6,000, I expected more. Services: Garbage disposal installation, Plumbing pipe repair, Sewer repair

Sam,Our plumber stated to us that he did inform you of the damage and while we are not calling you a liar, we are also not calling him one. We have no way of knowing if he did or did not inform you of it.This was our second time to your house and to be clear, this was not simply a cabinet shelf. What was damage was a very thin piece of particle board under your kitchen sink. The floor of the cabinet as well as the cabinets themselves are older and were not in the best shape. There was no way for the plumber to replace your kitchen faucet without putting pressure on the shelf. We acknowledged our part in the damage and provided you with solutions to keep from any more damage happening. We advised you that we are not carpenters, and our plumbers could not replace a shelf, but it is also not reasonable to expect us to pay a professional carpenter to replace a low-quality shelf that was not structurally sound to begin with.We are very sorry about the shelf and that you were not as happy with our services during our second time at your house as you were the first job (one year ago) we completed. We wish you the best. Ron’s Plumbing & Sewer Service

image Update: Two months later and I have a leak in a pipe. I call to see about fixing it and what do they say? I left a bad review, so nope.
I have used Ron's several times for small items. They were fine. More recently I used them for a complete bathroom gut because I was in a bind. It was a professionally designed space with blueprints and expensive, exposed fixtures (a $70k bathroom). I generally use very good subs for this type of work. All fixtures and drawings were supplied at the rough-in time. There were quite few hiccups that I don't think would have occurred with more knowledgeable plumbing companies. The plumbing price on my job was about $6k.
At one point the plumber asked me if I knew how to install the freestanding tub. Like, what? You're the plumber. They also kept calling my polished nickel fixtures "chrome" even after I told them many times, it's nickel. "They look like chrome". If they've never seen polished nickel fixtures, they haven't seen many bathrooms. They also told me they wanted to cut through a tile floor, cement board, leveling compound, and the original wood subfloor to put in the tub drain AFTER it was laid, like later. My floor installer insisted on pulling the drain pipe up and tiling around it.
Several times the plumbers would say "you need this extension piece for that part, we'll have to come back" so I order this part, and when they come back "you also need this piece". There are issues covering the sink drain stub out with the escutcheon supplied. The plumbers tell me now they would have had to know when roughing it in that it was a shallow escutcheon. I had all these parts for years and they are spec'd on drawings. They tell me "we don't know how to read drawings, we're plumbers".
The plumbers come to finish the sink drain - this is 6 months in- and tell me the stub out isn't in line with the sink and the trap I have needs it to be in line. YOU SAW THE DRAWINGS, YOU SET THE PIPES, YOU SAW THE FIXTURES, YOU KNEW THEY WERE EXPOSED. I have $400 traps here and they absolutely need to be used.
Lastly, they do not know how to install a freestanding tub. They told me grout/caulk around the bottom of a tub! Because, I realize, they did not put the flange in the hole in the floor so that if any water gets under the tub, it goes down this hole around the drain pipe and into the ceiling below it! When I asked about it - a part I had previously asked if I needed - it was excuse after excuse. What the actual F.
I could go on...In the end, I had to purchase more parts to rectify their inappropriate or wrong choices, and use design items I did not want. I also had to have another plumber come fix the tub drain. I would recommend them for basic fixes or builder grade stuff, I guess, maybe. I would not recommend them for more elaborate, detailed, or expensive work. My carpenter and tile guy also commented on how they seemed inept. All plumbers are not equal.

Ms. Pritchard,The fixtures you "supplied" were in boxes scattered around your basement, some not even labeled. Our plumbers had to dig through your basement to find anything they needed. We discussed your tub with you after you left your review and explained to you that even the installation guide for your tub lists caulking the base of the tub as one of the steps. You attempted to be your own contractor without enough knowledge of construction and this caused many issues for us throughout this project. And after leaving this review, you have since called us because one of the P-traps YOU supplied is leaking. If our work is so inept, why even call us for more work. You also have a remaining balance for the final day of work we completed for you that you have never attempted to pay.Thank you.
