It had gotten difficult to find an an appliance repair person in our area until I found this company. They are easy to contact. They arrive at my house when I am told they will be here. They diagnose the problems quickly and accurately. They order parts and fix what is broken rapidly. I feel very fortunate in finding this company and encourage other people to use their services. Do NOT use this company to repair your fridge/freezer. We have a Samsung fridge so we were left with no choice. If you have any other fridge then use another company.
TLDR: problem with the compressor discovered December 26th; issue hopefully will finally be resolved January 27th.
It has taken them a month and it will be at least 4 trips for them to replace a compressor. A part of the delay is that they are the only Samsung authorized repair center. The rest of the delay is sheer incompetence by Mid America. Technicians do not seem to come to your house ready to make a repair. The first one was sent to diagnose the problem and understandably didn't have a compressor in his van. The second one came with a new compressor but improperly installed a valve which made the issue worse. Days later a third technician was sent out to determine that the valve was faulty which resulted in a new part needing to be ordered delaying repair even longer. Mid America ordered the wrong part and did not alert us to that issue until less than 2 hours before their scheduled arrival time. It is now taking them another 8 days to get the right part delivered (despite a request to get a rush delivery on the part) and an additional day to get the repair scheduled.
Hopefully it will finally be fixed then but I remain doubtful until then. Service: Refrigerator/freezer repair

Horrible - do not use!!!
Samsung sent these guys out and after 2 hours the tech claims there is no part for a 4 year old SAMSUNG range. Basically a very common part - an ignitor for a gas range oven.
I doubt this is true, but was left with $100 bill, no range, and a part number that I am supposed to find for myself.
Do not buy a SAMSUNG range and DO NOT call MID America Service Appliance Repair

You decide as a business with whom you're going to partner. If you decide to partner with a company that is going to make their products obsolete after four years, then you might want to expect issues like this. If I owned a company that put out a range that I could not fix after 4 years, I would give the customer their money back even if it was out of warranty. How unethical and irresponsible is that. t the very least I would not charge $100 service call.
let me give you a lesson in customer service: what should have been done is "hey we're really sorry but Samsung discontinued a part after only four years, we know this is ridiculous but here's what we can do for you. We can find the part from a third party and we can install it for you for x dollars."
However, what was said is we can't fix it; it's $100. And when I question about why not I get told maybe I can find the part somewhere myself. I asked the tech for the part number, I look it up myself and it's all over the place on the web. Amazon, everywhere.
As far as I'm concerned you and Samsung are joined at the hip. It's a very unethical situation to obsolete a $1600 range in four years.
