Oak View Apartments

Overall, these apartment complexes were not that bad. Best part was the location. Being away from Highway 6 or Norris Ave and directly south of the hospital, this made the complex a quiet place to live. Professional people such as teachers and healthcare workers live here, so you hardly have any rift-raft renters. Down part is the appearance, both inside and outside. The balconies need a major paint job. On most balconies, the paint is chipped away and you can see the wood. The inside of the apartment is a bland tannish color, with a tannish carpet. No gray or light blue, and the carpet doesn't have any speckled colors. However, my rent was less than $400 a month, so that was a very nice perk! If there are rentals open, I would sign a lease with Jerry. For a town of 7,500+ people, there are hardly any options for housing, especially nice housing. Jump on it when you can.

STAY AWAY!!!! I’m looking to move to McCook and came across the apartments. Went to the office to ask for a tour and Jerry said yes. Before we even got into the building we were trying to make conversation about the pool, jerry said it was closed for good. We asked what happened to the pool and he snaps back “does it matter? I said I was closed for good!” Jerry was incredibly rude and definitely lost business today.

The landowner, Jerry, will steal your deposit and claim he did $175 worth of carpet cleaning after living there for less than a year. He is either the highest paid carpet cleaner in all of Nebraska or a thief.

I lived here for 2 years. Jerry and his wife were excellent landlords. The apartment complex is very reasonably priced. I enjoyed staying here. No complaints on my end.
