If you're looking for an upscale, trendy place to get barbecue like you'd find in your favorite chain restaurant, then by all means, go to the chain restaurant! If you're more interested in delicious, home style barbecue, served in a place comfortable for farmers, Southerners, and other people who really appreciate barbecue .... Babe's is well worth the drive out of town. It's authentic, delicious food, served by folks who live nearby and will gladly engage in conversation if you feel like talking. Service was great, and the food, even better. There's even a selection of nearly a dozen different kinds of barbecue sauce. Just please don't bother asking for a printed wine list, or creme brulee. It's not that kind of place.

The ribs were really good. The brisket was nice and juicy. Interesting sauces. The Cole slaw was kinda weird and the service was just OK. The decor is pretty basic. It's very casual.
