I was looking for old family records, and the staff was very patient and helpful. And they directed me to more records at the library and the sheriff's office.

As of March 2019 they are shorthanded. We filed 14 days ago, our check cleared 3 days ago. My husband is very understanding, he has called only twice in these 2 weeks, but they work with no goals, no deadlines, they never know. The clerk told me today that I can take my papers and do it myself. I said excuse me, what did you just said? and she played dumb and kept explaining with frustration that they are shorthanded. That woman has always been rude, specially to my husband, the nicest person on earth and a native to that county. She is nice only when the judge is around. Once the judge had to step in and fix the word format for her to print, does she have technical preparation for the job? questionable. You can tell she us not happy with her job and evidently gives for granted she has a job. If jurisdiction allows and you can have your case filed somewhere else, do it. Do not waste time in WP County.

Broken Justice System in Ely. They have a giant courthouse in the middle of nowhere in some little known village of 4,000 people. Anybody who gets a ticket out of state is crap-out-of-luck trying to get legal representation because there is either no lawyers in or around Ely, or nobody who is willing to go there. Called the Court, the town's Justice Center, The Attorney General's office, and even Nevada Bar Association - nobody will go to Ely. So you either fly out there yourself for a measly speeding ticket or by default admit guilt and pay the fine. The Court's clerk's also weren't helpful at all
