First let me make very clear my review is about disappointment in the lack of etiquette of High Desert Landscaping and not the quality of their work; as I was never able to see any of their work first hand. If you are looking to schedule them for a proposal/quote, you may want to think twice! My company scheduled an appointment with High Desert six days ahead of the date and time they told me they had availability to come out to assess our property for a proposal/quote. The time they told my company they had available was on a Wednesday Nov. 4th at 11:30am. On the day of our agreed scheduled appointment, I received a phone call from a receptionist at High Desert Landscaping at 10:30am stating they wouldn't be able to make the agreed scheduled 11:30am appointment and asked if we could reschedule for 2pm? Understanding how schedules can run behind from time to time, we told the receptionist 2pm was no good, but would 3:30pm work? We were then put on hold, and when the receptionist returned, she said 3:30pm would be fine. At 2:34pm my partner and I were in route to meet with High Desert Landscaping and Design to discuss our company's design needs when again I receive yet another call from the same receptionist from earlier this morning. This time she informed me she was calling to apologize. She then says "I know we called four hours ago to reschedule our appointment for 3:30pm but we won't be able to make it at 3:30pm" and wanted to know if I'd like to reschedule and for another date and time? (SMH...) We choose not to reschedule! With all that said, should you choose to give High Desert Landscaping and Design a try, I hope you have a much better experience than we did.

First, I'm a Civil Engineer and I’m picky, opinionated, and have very high standards. High Desert is absolutely one of the best contractors I’ve ever worked with. Tony is talented and has great knowledge of his industry, but he’s the owner so he’s not on site all day when work is being done. He relies on his staff - who are on-site all day - to take care of the vast majority of the details. This is the point at which a business either fails to deliver (usually the case) or fully delivers. Tony’s staff, specifically the lead ace named Jesus, exceeded all expectations as he’s a good communicator, he’s passionate about his designs, and he’s a good leader. The crew as a whole were punctual, very polite and respectful of both people and property, efficient and hard-working, knowledgeable of the work they were doing, and they were extremely clean (again, I am very picky… I didn’t see one stray wrapper or piece of scrap lying around anywhere, and I can confidently say it was the cleanest, most well-kept project site I have ever been around). The final product is better than I hoped it would be and the price was fair. I look forward to working with these guys in the future when I need maintenance!
