Definitely a cool place to walk the trails and consider the Pleistocene (ice age) right here in the middle of the desert! Who knew? The trails are well marked with river rocks, and the signage is excellent. Although the park visitor center is not open yet, it is clearly going to be something special.

Within 10 minutes you are immersed in the desert. Most of the trail is marked with river rock. The rest seemed to be washed away.
