Went back on a second visit, this time with more time. 1. Visit the visitors center. I recommend the trolley tour. $6 for adults, $5 for 60 and older. Also the museum ($4). Lots of parking on side streets on the mountain side.

Great trip for Trump fans. No seriously, the amount of one-sided Pro-Trump and Anti-Biden propaganda in the stores was hard to swallow for me. I guess they know their clientele. It is a very tourist-focused little town. Sort of a cross between Julian, CA and Gatlinburg, TN. There are some worthwhile highlights. The V&T railroad is good fun and provides some historic background on the town. The Bucket of Blood is a nice saloon to take the edge off and the Cider Factory is a great meal for a fair price.
