I am not a fan of leaving bad reviews but unresponsiveness irks me enough to do this.
I had posted on facebook looking for someone to come remove a large brush pile from our property. I quickly got a response from someone at Bear River Property Services saying that they could come the following Saturday and offered a price (which was a little higher than some other responses but also less than we were expecting to pay). He planned on coming by himself and only coming for the afternoon. I expressed concern that my pictures did not do it justice and that this project was larger than an afternoon project, especially for one person, but he assured me that they "tackle some absolutely monstrous messes" and that "this will be a nice break". I offered for him to come take a look but he assured me that he could do it and if it wasn't done in the one afternoon he would come back a second day for no charge.
I confirmed the Friday beforehand and was told I was on the books for 2:00. At 4:30 on that Saturday he informed me that he was about 45 minutes out. When he arrived he said that it was a bigger job than he expected and would need to come back with a dumpster but could do it that week and for no extra charge.
I messaged him Sunday, he saw the message but did not respond. I messaged him again Tuesday and again no response. I finally concluded that we were ghosted and that he would not be coming to do the job that he promised he would. We are going with a different company now and will never consider doing business with this company. If he had just messaged me that it was too big of a job and he couldn't take it on (especially since I know that this is not the typical thing that the business does) I would have been fine with that but to give no response after saying he would be back is disrespectful and extremely unprofessional.

Had these guys come out last year, very happy with their work. Will have them do some more work this year for sure.

I had an appointment scheduled, to which they never showed up. I had to msg. Them to find out what happened. I will not entertain another appointment with this company. It is HIGHLY inconsiderate and unprofessional to leave a customer hanging like they did. Which makes me wonder if they'd even show up to do the job they were hired for! Also they deleted my comment on a FB post calling them out on this praxtice....so ill just leave this review here. I sure hope this helps them either become better business people OR warns people that they seem sketchy to me!

I HATE leaving bad reviews. I Almost never review bad businesses, because I know it is someones livelihood.
That being said, our experience was sub-par with Bear River, at best. My wife was quoted a certain price to clear our property (it is a large property, and we were happy with the quote). We were told by the operator of this business that this would be a multiple person job, and he took a notebook around taking measurements and recording areas we wanted to focus on.
When he (alone, not multiple people) arrived weeks later to start the job, we were instead told that the quote would only cover a small portion of our property. When asked about the notebook, we were told he could not remember the notebook. He offered to clear a certain area of our property. He had already begun when I came home to speak with him. I explained everything and was disappointed that what my wife had been quoted would not be what we received.
We went with it, and paid what I believe to be way too much money for the work we received. I was told we would have 2-3 full days of work. We instead received 2 half days of work. I was told we would receive a check-in in the fall to be sure that the area had been properly cleared. This did not happen. I keep cameras posted around my house. No visits happened.
To say I think we were had is an understatement. Take this as you will, but I found this service to not be as advertised. We will be looking elsewhere for help this year, in hopes of properly getting the job done.
