I starting taking lessons from Byron about six months ago. His ability to relate with a beginner, and convey his knowledge has helped me improve my guitar playing at a rate I was never able to achieve on my own. The setting allows for a comfortable atmosphere that makes learning easier and more engaging. His wide range of classes offers a lot for people just starting, or players looking to increase their skill set. Very satisfied with Manchester NH Guitar Lessons, and would recommend to anyone interested.

Having known Byron some time in the local musician circles, i admit i was intimidated to take lessons from him as i ‘should know my stuff’. Being a bass player my whole playing life i chose to approach my craft from a wholy new perspective and take rythym guitar lessons. Having been taking lessons now since January, not only have i become more literate in playing a new instrument, but being a life long music fan Byron has taught me not only an entirely new way to listen to music ive loved my whole life, but given a whole new way to appreciatd music i was previously indifferent to! More over, rather than make me feel inferior for not knowing any topic we go over, Byron takes the time to listen, dissect, and take apart what we’re doing piece by piece until it makes sense and THEN we move on. It’s a fantastic learning environment, truly tailor crafted to each individual student’s ability. Quality costs money. I imagine there are perhaps ‘less expensive’? teachers... i suspect the quality, patience and level of attention to each individual student may not be as high caliber. Fantastic experience!!

He claims to give you a free lesson, but then charges $96 for a start up fee. It's then $247 per month to continue lessons as the cheapest option.. You need to cancel half a month in advance to stop the automatic charges(the 20th of the month). He only accepts credit cards. He has you play electric guitars unplugged which makes it difficult to hear the instruments as well. He just seems much more focused on making money off of you than teaching you guitar. I've had much better luck with other instructors.

I would highly recommend Manchester NH Guitar Lessons to anyone! He is extremely patient and makes the lessons fun. My son is 8 years old and has been working with Mr. Marks for about 3 months. He is already able to play the Star Spangled Banner and is quickly picking up other tunes. We could not be more pleased with our sons progress. We are looking forward to continuing his lessons and eventually starting our younger son. Five stars across the board!

I’m very happy with the training I receive at Manchester NH Guitar lessons. The classes are very informative and fun with lots of practical examples. The instructor, Byron is very knowledgeable and experienced in playing many different styles of music. Since I started taking lessons, Byron has pointed out all the areas in my playing, I needed to work on, then guided me thru the process. At this point, I’m playing faster, louder and more melodic than before. I’m also able to play my favorite music and jam with other musicians- something I couldn’t do before I started taking lessons. My goal is to continue improvement in my playing and learn more about writing and creating music to express myself on this truly wonderful instrument called the guitar.
